Hilton Head Island is known first and foremost for its pristine golf courses.
One of the Island’s gems is the Robert Trent Jones oceanfront course in Palmetto Dunes. named the 2003 South Carolina Golf Course of the year after undergoing $3 million in renovations. But don’t let the wide fairways and flat looking greens fool you, this is a tough course to par for even a scratch golfer.
The RTJ Oceanfront course is a little longer than some of the courses on the island at 6122 yards from the white tees with a 72 par, 122 slope and a 69.1 rating.
If you have any aspiring Tigers in your family, the Robert Trent Jones course now offers Junior Tees, a first for Hilton Head Island golf! So tee the whole family up and rent a couple Segway’s and play a round on this magnificent course!

Savannah is home to one of the best art schools in the country, the Savannah College of Art & Design which creates a culturally enriching atmosphere for its residents and visitors alike. As you stroll though the downtown areas of Savannah, you will see local artists work all around, from hand sculpted chess pieces to large murals.
Savannah is the setting for the John Berendt book Midnight in the Garden of Good & Evil and there are references to the best seller all around the city. Savannah is also home to the Juliette Gordon Low house who happens to be the founder of the Girl Scouts.
In addition to the art and eccentric people you will encounter, Savannah is one of the spookiest cities around! sign up for a ghost tour and learn about all the supernatural things that have gone on throught the city by the sea. If ghost tours don’t really sound like your thing, you can take a normal tour though Savannah during the day time and learn about all that Savannah has been through.

Here at Maximum Vacations, we love good food. That is one of the reasons we discount our rentals so much, so our guests will have some extra change to try some of the fabulous restaurants on the island.
One such place is Red Fish located on Pope Ave, just south of the Sea Pines Circle. Fantastic cuisine with a Caribean flair. Dispite the name, Red Fish offers plenty for those land lovers in your family including a New York Strip and a Birkshire Pork Chop. Their Kobe Beef Burger with Fois Gras is outstanding if you are tired of a standard cheese burger.
Although Red Fish welcomes large groups and families, the menu may not please the smallest members of your family, however, Chef Walsh will happily prepare anything on the menu “naked” which means only cooked in extra virgin olive oil, lime and garlic.
Red Fish also has one of the largest selections of wine on the island. The on-site wine cellar is sure to impress. There are over 1,000 wines to choose from.
Red Fish offers a lunch, early bird, and dinner menu as well as an extensive catering menu.
We invite you to book your vacation now and to visit this landmark restaurant on Hilton Head today!
